I have the same problem with mine, 99 f250 7.3 I did change temp sensor twice , thermostat and still reading 110 fwhenbit should read 195f because thermostat is that to burn diesel more efficient

Everyone guess again. I only thought I fixed it when I changed the cv axle and hub bearing. I found it this time.

I now have it on 2 cinder blocks. The vent pipe runs through an old cat door and is surrounded by ceramic insulation and then runs through an exhaust pipe around roof level

I'm still running it. At times it would send white smoke out the exhaust at start. I haven't had problems with this since I switch to a 12v battery and a decent 6amp maintainer, which keeps it at around 12.5v and 13+ at start

I worked on it today and went with a new spline plate and slip disk. The bushing was broke. The heat damaged the mating surface, and the ujoint will be replaced. I installed the shims per pip

Thanks, very helpful. I do have a question however - at about 1:29:30 or so you pull the second flexible tube out and find a replacement on your bench. I have an 011 AV I'm working on, and that other hose (what is its purpose?) disintegrated when I touched it. At the other end of the tubing (down under the carb somewhere) there was a tiny brass fitting screwed in. I can't see how it can do anything other than plug the tubing. You didn't observe one in yours - can you or anybody speak to what that very tiny (exactly 3/16" in length) does, and if it is necessary?

Thanks for the video! I'm working on an 015 AV chainsaw, I can already see a few things I need to get for it. I did put a new NGK spark plug in it, I'm gonna see if I can get it to fire. I just temporarily used some paracord for the pull rope until I can order a good one. I'm wondering what that round plastic piece is that you pulled out with your pliers right below the bar/clutch area? Mine has a lot of oily gunk on it and it seems to be kinda chewed up on the tip buy I'm not sure what it is or what it's function is.

This saw will run and cut good but then loses power and acts like it is not getting gas, gas spits out the carb. After replacing the fuel filter, line, and coil wire it continues with same problem. Compression is good. I am leaning toward a leaking reed valve, as this reed valve looks like it is getting exhaust blow-by, it's not clean like the other one that is running good, will also change out crank seals. On the other saw I found a better way to route a new coil wire. The coil wire should be checked 1st for no starts on these saws.

I bought 25 chainsaws at a estate auction a few weeks ago. One is a 361. And we got it running!

I just finished rebuilding one of these saws and having the same problem with the throttle you had. You pull the trigger and the cable does not pull back far enough the open the throttle. I took the trigger apart and saw no apparent problem so I reassembled it. Can you please tell me what you discovered to solve this problem?

You mean it was ran without oil. But yes, just using gas will destroy any 2 cycle engine. I'm still trying to figure out how some people manage to do this.
